Can messages be edited or deleted?

No. Topics, replies and answers stay exactly as written, with times recorded by the server.

No one can edit or delete a topic, reply or answer once it's posted: not you, not your co-parent, and not Clearly. Times are recorded by Clearly's server, not by your phone or computer.

That's what makes the record dependable for both of you, and for anyone you share it with.

What you can do

  • Before you post, read it through. Clearly also checks each message and holds back anything hostile. See When Clearly holds a message.
  • After you post, add a reply to correct or explain something.
  • If you started a topic by mistake, close or withdraw it. It stays on the record as no longer needed. See Close or withdraw a topic.

If a parent deletes their account

If your co-parent deletes their account, what they posted stays in your record, shown as "Former co-parent". See When a co-parent leaves Clearly.
