Reach a resolution together
When a topic is ready to end, one of you proposes how, and the other agrees or says not yet.
A conversation ends with a resolution you both accept. It goes on the record as what you agreed.
On iPhone
- When a conversation is ready, Clearly may offer a Suggested resolution, written from what you've both said. Tap Propose to send it, or Edit to write your own version first.
- Your co-parent sees Your co-parent proposed this, with Resolve and Not yet.
- While you wait, you see Waiting on your co-parent. Tap Undo to take your proposal back. Your co-parent is told.
If your co-parent taps Not yet, the topic goes back to talking and you're told it's not settled yet. A new reply from either of you also sets a proposal aside.
On the web
- In the topic's side panel, under Wrap it up, click Propose a resolution, write how it ends and click Propose.
- Your co-parent sees Agree and resolve and Propose something different.
Where this stands
On iPhone, Where this stands at the top of a conversation sums up what's settled and where each of you is, based on the conversation. Tap Ask for an update to refresh it.
After it's resolved
If the resolution includes a date or a cost, the iPhone app can offer Add to calendar or Add as expense.
A proposal that isn't accepted within 30 days closes as Closed ยท not accepted. See When topics close on their own.
