How topics work
Every conversation is a topic about one thing, and it ends in an answer or a resolution you both accept.
In Clearly you don't send loose messages. You start a topic about one thing, such as a pickup time, a school form or a doctor's visit, and it stays together until it's settled.
Kinds of topic
When you write a topic, Clearly works out how your co-parent can answer it, based on what you wrote:
- A quick question they can answer Yes or No in one tap.
- A question they answer in a few words.
- An FYI they mark as seen.
- A conversation, for anything that needs back and forth.
To send it another way, change the wording.
Statuses
Each topic shows where it is, for example:
- Waiting for you or Waiting for co-parent
- Resolution pending: one of you proposed how it ends.
- Resolved
- Closed · not accepted, Closed · no reply or Closed · no activity
- No longer needed
Open and closed
On iPhone, Topics has Open and Closed tabs. On the web, filter by Open, For you, Closed or All.
A closed topic stays on the record. To raise it again, start a new topic.
