These terms are an agreement between you and Clearly LLC ("Clearly", "we") for your use of the Clearly app and getclearly.app. By using Clearly, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Clearly.
What Clearly is
Clearly is a co-parenting app for iPhone. It helps co-parents share a custody schedule, raise and resolve topics, track shared expenses, and keep their parenting plan, kids' details and contacts in one place.
Your account
You must be at least 18 to use Clearly. Give accurate information, keep your password safe, and tell us right away at hello@getclearly.app if you think someone else has used your account.
Subscriptions and free trial
- The demo is free and needs no account.
- Adding or changing anything in a family needs one Clearly subscription. One subscription covers both parents; your co-parent joins free.
- Plans are $24.99 a month or $249 a year (US prices; prices in other countries may vary).
- Each plan starts with a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription begins and you're charged.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting your Clearly account doesn't cancel it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
- If the subscription ends, Clearly becomes read-only for your family: everything stays viewable and you can still export your record.
- If we change prices, Apple will tell you first, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
Clearly's AI
Clearly uses AI from Anthropic, our AI provider, to check the tone of posts before they're shared, suggest calmer wording, title topics, write up what you've agreed, and summarize where a topic stands. What you write in topics and replies is sent to Anthropic for this; photos are never sent. AI suggestions may contain errors. You decide what you post, and you're responsible for everything you send.
Your content and the shared record
- You own what you add to Clearly. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run Clearly for you and your co-parent.
- What you add to your family's shared space is visible to your co-parent. Only add information you have the right to share.
- Topics and replies can't be edited or deleted once posted, so the record stays the same for both of you.
Using Clearly fairly
Use Clearly only for lawful purposes. Don't use it to harass, threaten or harm anyone, share illegal content, get around court orders, or try to access accounts or systems that aren't yours.
Not legal or financial advice
- Clearly isn't a law firm and doesn't give legal advice. For legal matters, talk to a qualified attorney.
- Expense tracking is for convenience. It isn't financial, tax or accounting advice; check amounts yourself.
- Clearly's records and exports are for your own reference. They aren't official legal documents or court records, and they don't replace your court orders or custody agreement. Follow those independently.
No warranty
Clearly is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it running and secure, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or perfectly secure. Keep your own copies of anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Clearly LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages; loss of data; disputes between co-parents; or service interruptions arising from your use of Clearly. Our total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.
Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold Clearly LLC harmless from claims arising from your use of Clearly, content you submit, your violation of these terms or of someone else's rights, or disputes with your co-parent or other users.
Ending your use
You can delete your account anytime in the app: Settings → your profile → Edit profile → Delete account. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or to protect Clearly or its users.
Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, and you waive the right to take part in a class action, except where the law doesn't allow this.
Apple
These terms are between you and Clearly LLC, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Clearly or its content, and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.
Changes to these terms
When we update these terms, we change the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Clearly after a change means you accept the updated terms.
