What a Clearly record shows.
Each item is labeled, so a reader never has to guess whether something was said by a parent, agreed by both, or recorded by the system.
- Parent messages
- The original words of each parent, in order, with date and time. This is the canonical record.
- System summaries
- Topic summaries written by Clearly are labeled as system-generated and kept separate from what parents wrote.
- Agreements
- A topic is recorded as agreed only when both parents accept the same written resolution.
- Not accepted
- A resolution proposed but not accepted within 30 days closes as “not accepted.” It is never treated as agreed.
- Inactive topics
- A topic with no activity for 30 days closes and stays on the record, marked as a system action.
- Schedule and expenses
- Swap requests and their answers, shared expenses with receipts and splits, and changes to the parenting plan.

Common questions.
Can these records be used as evidence?
Clearly produces time-stamped records of communication, kept as written. Whether any document is admissible depends on the jurisdiction, the case and the court. Clearly provides the record; evidentiary decisions belong to the court and counsel.
Does Clearly analyze or score either parent?
No. Clearly records what was communicated and when. It does not score, rank or evaluate behavior. Its tone check only suggests calmer wording to the person writing, before they post, and they choose what to send.
What happens when one parent doesn't respond?
Silence is never treated as agreement. A proposed resolution that isn't accepted within 30 days closes as “not accepted,” and a topic with no activity for 30 days closes and stays on the record. Both are labeled as system actions.
Can parents edit or delete messages?
No. Topics and replies can't be edited or deleted once posted. Exports include provenance information and disclaimers.
Does the other parent have to pay?
No. One subscription covers both parents. The co-parent joins free with an invite code. Without a subscription, Clearly is read-only and records stay viewable and exportable.
