How Pennsylvania Calculates Child Support

Pennsylvania uses the Income Shares model. Both parents' monthly net incomes are combined to find the basic support obligation from the schedule. Each parent's share is proportional to their income. Shared custody adjustments apply when a parent has 40%+ overnights (146+ nights/year).
